new lifestyle and commercial hubs in singapore

More Singaporeans can look forward to living and working along the waterfront as the Urban Redevelopment Authority unveiled its draft Masterplan 2008.

The Kallang Riverside would be developed into a ‘lifestyle destination’ set amid parks and a beachfront promenade. This would offer new residences, hotels and offices along the waterfront.

In addition, the Paya Lebar area is also poised to become a regional centre, where half a million square metres will be set aside for office, hotel and retail spaces.

These plans are part of initiatives to develop more commercial hubs outside the city area, offering alternatives to businesses and bring jobs closer to homes.
