Tourism a big hit among students
Local polytechnics, which offer diploma courses to prepare students for university and work, will be increasing their intake sizes and offering more service industry-related courses in anticipation of a staffing shortage when the integrated resorts and new hotels open in the next three to five years.
Tourism and hospitality trade players have already been plying (rather odd word in this context) wooing polytechnics graduates with scholarships, hoping to attract the best talents.
