What Are the Signs of Muscle Strains?

A muscle strain is an injury to any muscle or tendon-the fibrous tissue that connect muscles to bone

 

Muscle strains can only stretch a single muscle or tendon, or both; more severe injuries can also involve complete or partial tears of these tissues. Muscle strains are usually caused by repetitive stress, such as when lifting, playing sports or even sitting at a computer all day. Sometimes referred to as pulled muscles, muscle strains can also occur in the leg (thigh) and the calf (calves) – the most common cause of pain in those areas. These tendons usually heal on their own in most cases, but if you do have a severe muscle strain, you should consult a doctor to get an accurate diagnosis.
